Happy Friday! I sure am ready for a long weekend, how about you?
Today’s card features the Center Cut Burst background and the Handlettered Encouragement stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, and Arteza Real Brush Pens.
I started by using Versamark ink and Hero Arts white embossing powder to heat emboss the background onto an A2-sized piece of Canson XL watercolor paper. Then I started coloring this beautiful background. I had planned to use a waterbrush to help move the Arteza colors, but I ended up using the Arteza brush pens as regular markers. The colors I used were Fair Skin (116), Apricot (124, and Tomato Red (194). If you’ve been hesitating to buy the Arteza pens because they didn’t have color names, you can rest easy. Each pen in the 96(!) set that I ordered last month is labeled with a color and number.
I stamped the sentiment in VeraMark Black Onyx ink onto a strip of vellumn and then poured Hero Arts Ultra Fine clear embossing powder over top, tapped off the excess, and hit it with a heat gun. I wrapped the vellum around the background and adhered it on the back side using regular Scotch tape.
To finish, I adhered the background onto an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for visiting!
