Hello there!
Today’s card features the Gemini stamp from the Cosmic Stars set from Mama Elephant. I’ve also used elements from other stamp sets, including the sentiment from Mama Elephant’s Sweetest Greetings set, the heart constellation from Lawn Fawn’s Upon a Star set, and the small trio of stars from Simon Says Stamp’s Seeing Stars set.
I started with an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I created a mask by die cutting a circle from a piece a sheet of Avery 6465 Removable ID Labels that I had also cut down to A2-size. I used the 12th largest die from the Hero Arts Nested Circles die set to create the circular opening in the mask, and then I placed the mask over the Bristol cardstock.
Using foam blending tools, I blended Wilted Violet, Seedless Preserves, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks into the circular opening in the mask. Then I removed the mask and let the ink dry for a few minutes.
I dusted over the card front with an anti-static powder tool and then stamped the constellation and star images in VersaMark ink. I sprinkled Hero Arts white embossing powder over top and then hit it with a heat gun.
On a scratch piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock, I stamped the Gemini image in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink. Then I used several colors of Copics to do some very basic coloring: E35 and E37 for the hair, E41 for skin, R30 for cheeks, and RV63 and RV66 for the dresses. I cut out the image using a Brother ScanNCut2 and set it aside.
I used a Misti stamping tool to stamp the sentiment in Versafine Black Onyx ink. Then I added foam tape to the back of the little girls and adhered them to the card front and then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base to finish up today’s card.
Thanks for swinging by!
