Celebration Cards, Feel Good Cards, Friendship Cards

So Glad You Are A Survivor

Hello there!

Today I’m celebrating three years of survivorship so I created a card for all of the survivors out there using the beautiful Courage Stamp & Die Set from Essentials By Ellen over at Ellen Hutson. For each set that is purchased, Ellen Hutson will donate $25 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I started by placing an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White #80 Classic Crest cardstock into a Misti stamping tool.  I’m using the tool today because I want to do some repeat stamping by rotating the cardstock in the Misti.

This stamp set has layering images so I placed arranged the base layer of the flowers over half of the card front, picked them up with the lid of the Misti, and then stamped them in Altenew Blush ink.  I rotated the card front 180 degrees and repeated the stamping.

I removed the base layer and positioned the second layer, repeating the entire process with Altenew Rouge ink.  I then repeated the process with the third layer using Altenew Crimson ink.  I hand-stamped the centers of the largest flowers in Altenew Velvet ink.

I used the same process to stamp the leaves using Altenew Olive and Moss inks.  When I finished stamping, I trimmed the panel to 4″ x 5.25″ and adhered it to an A2-sized piece of Recollections Kraft cardstock and set it aside.

I used Versamark ink and Ranger Super Fine gold embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment onto a scrap piece of Neenah Solar White.  I trimmed it down to a small rectangle, and trimmed a scrap piece of kraft cardstock to create a frame for the sentiment.  I adhered the sentiment to the middle of the card front and then adhered the entire thing to an A2-sized card base.  To finish, I added some small dots of gold using a Sakura Metallic Gelly Roll pen.

Thank you for visiting!
