Hi there, I hope you had a lovely weekend!
Today marks the beginning of another challenge over on the A Blog Named Hero blog. This month’s theme is “Clean and Simple” and as you can see, I went super clean and super simple 🙂
I started by stamping an image from the Hero Arts Beautiful Day Agapanthus stamp set* onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I used a Hero Arts Ombre Soft Granite to Black ink pad so that the top of the image is a bit lighter than the bottom.
Then I used Copics (BV31, BV04, BV13, and BV08) to color the blooms. I also used an orange Sakura Glaze pen to add a bit of color and dimension to the anthers of the blooms.
For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the All Occasion Messages stamp set. I heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder onto a strip of heavyweight black cardstock and then trimmed one end at an angle.
To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with foam tape and then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Check the links at the bottom of this post to see more inspiration for this month’s challenge and be sure to visit the A Blog Name Hero blog to submit your entry for a chance to win one of two gift cards to Hero Arts!
