Well hey there, gorgeous, I hope you’re having a good start to the weekend!

It’s been rainy here for the past week and I decided that I needed some flowers to add a bit of cheer to my day.  Having grown up in the Midwest, I’m always embarrassed when I complain about a few days of mildly cold and wet weather.  Oh, the horror of three straight days of 50-degree cloudy days with some much needed rain!  But a couple of decades in the San Francisco Bay area has softened me. Hi there and happy Friday!

I’ve been a little bit under the weather so I decided to make a get well card for myself.  I’m allowed, right? 😉 It’s just sniffles, but since I rarely get sick (I don’t count the big “C,” but I couldn’t tell you why), after a few days of minor suffering my inner child comes out and wants to call my dad to whine about the injustice of it all.  It’s embarrassing, I know! This card is an homage to my days skiing with my dad.  He taught me to ski when I was four and until I went off to college, we skied together each winter.  For four or those winters we lived at the base of Sandia Peak, in Albuquerque, NM, and I made this little scene based on the many many weekends we spent on the slopes there.
