Hello and welcome! I’m so happy to be part of Altenew’s celebration of their 9th anniversary and I’m glad you’re here. If you arrived from Michelle’s Cards & Stamps, you’re right on track. Be sure to read through to the bottom where there’s information on the many many wonderful sponsors of this hop and the prizes!
And, if we’ve never met before, I hope you’ll also visit me on Instagram where I frequently share cards made with Altenew products!
Today I’m sharing three cards that I previously made with some of my favorite product from Altenew’s 9th year so let’s dive in!

Sending A Happy Hello
Altenew supplies:
- Craft-A-Flower: Tulip Full Bloom Layering Die Set
- Sentiment Strips 3 Stamp Set
- Maple Yellow, Rubellite, and Aqualicious Crisp Dye Inks
- Small blending tools
- Large blending tools
To start, I die cut the petal pieces from white cardstock and then used blending tools to blend yellow and deep pink inks onto the petals, concentrating the pink at the the inner end of each petal. I glued the pieces together and then glued in the centers of the flower which I cut from black and green cardstock. I cut the stem and leaves from green cardstock and then blended a bit of green ink onto them.
Next, I used a large blending tool to blend Aqualicious ink onto an A2-sized white panel. I concentrated the color at the top and let it fade out to white towards the bottom. Then I splattered dark blue and light blue gouache paint (diluted with water) over the panel.
To finish, I glued the flowers, stems, and leaves onto the panel and then added a stamped sentiment before gluing the panel to a card base.

Hello
My second card features the beautiful Craft-A-Flower: Water Lily Layering Die Set. I cut the bloom layers out of white cardstock and then blended color onto the pieces. I cut the lily pad piece form green cardstock and then added shading with ink. These flowers are so easy to layer; the dies cut out little shapes and numbers that make them so easy to line up, and once all the pieces in place, the helper shapes are completely hidden!
Supplies:
- Craft-A-Flower: Water Lily Layering Die Set
- Mix And Match Frame Dies for the blue background layer
- Vintage Garden Stamp Set for the sentiment
- Inks for the petals: Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Buttercream
- Inks for the stamen: Chamomile, Snapdragon
- Ink for shading on green cardstock: Fresh Leaf
- Ink for sentiment: Permanent Black
- Ink for blue ink-blending: Aqualicious
- Large blending tools
- Blue gouache for splatter

Happy Holidays
Altenew supplies:
- Wild Rose Complete Bundle (stamps, dies, hot foil plates)
- Holiday Greetings Complete Bundle (hot foil plates, dies)
- Diamond Frame Cover Die
- Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris Crisp Dye Inks (flower petals)
- Limeade, Lime, Fresh Leaf, Shadow Creek Crisp Dye Inks (leaves)
For this card I first hot foiled the flower and leaf outlines in gold foil onto white cardstock. Then I stamped the layers of the flowers and leaves using the colors listed above. I used yellow and orange markers to add color to the centers of the flowers and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
Next, I heat embossed the tiny leafy stems in gold embossing powder onto vellum. I cut those out as well with the coordinating dies. Then I hot foiled the sentiment using the same gold foil and white cardstock and then cut it out using the coordinating die.
For the background, I cut out the Diamond Frame Cover three times from white cardstock and then stacked and glued the layers together.
To assemble the card, I used glue and foam tape to adhere all of the floral bits and the sentiment and then finished by gluing the card front to a card base.
