Hello and welcome! Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew November Marvelous Monthlies collection! If you arrived from the Altenew Blog, you’re right on track. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list!
My first card today features the Craft-A-Flower: Sulfur Cosmos layering die set. This amazing set creates two big blooms and includes plenty of foliage to help fill out a card front. The layers are so easy to put together thanks to little cutouts in each piece that help you align each piece, and in the right order! The cutouts are hidden in the final bloom, it’s genius!
Supplies:
- Craft-A-Flower: Sulfur Cosmos layering die set
- White cardstock
- Small blending tools
- Inks to blend onto petals cut from white cardstock: Puffy Heart, Purple Wine
- Inks to blend onto leaves cut from white cardstock: Bamboo, Fresh Leaf
- Ink for flower centers: Chamomile (with a bit of black gel pen)
- For the sentiment: white cardstock, vellum, Sweet Sentiments die set
- For the ink-blended background: Foam blending tools, Peacock Feathers, Salvaged Patina, Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks
- White card base
- Glue and foam tape
Tip: For extra dimension, stick very small bits of foam tape beneath the end of each petal. Leaving the release paper in place lets each petal lift away freely from the one beneath it.

My second card features the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Bewitching Rose set. This wonderful set includes stamps, dies, coloring stencils, and an embossing folder!
I used similar colors as my previous card and this time, layered the floral on top of a single-color ink-blended background that I cut using a die from the Mix and Match Frame die set.
Supplies:
- Craft Your Life Project Kit: Bewitching Rose
- Permanent Black ink
- Inks for pink flowers: Baby Pink, Fuchsia, Magenta, Midnight Violet
- Inks for yellow flowers: Sunray, Chamomile, Snapdragon
- Inks for leaves: Bamboo, Lime, Fresh Leaf
- Mix and Match Frame die set
- Ink for blending framed background: Aqualicious
- For the sentiment: white cardstock, vellum, Sweet Sentiments die set
- White card base
- Glue and foam tape
