Hello there and happy Monday, I’m so glad you’re here!
The new Gina K. Designs release is live (see what’s new at the moment here) and I got to play with the new Beautiful Backyard stamp set which also has coordinating dies. This lovely new set was designed by Melanie Muenchinger.
For my simple card today, I started of by creating an ink-blended background. I used foam blending tools to blend Picked Raspberry, Saltwater Taffy, and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock. When the panel was dry, I trimmed it to 4″ x 5.5″.
I stamped the leafy ground image and then stamped the floral image slightly above it, aligning the end of the flowers’ stem to one of the leafy stalks. Then, using a very fine black pen (I used a Copic Multiliner 0.03 pen), I extended the floral stem to meet with the leafy stalk so that it appears to be a single stamped image. Next, I stamped the hummingbird and the sentiment (the sentiment is from the older Delightful Blooms stamp set) and, when the ink was dry, I used foam tape to adhere the card front to a card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!

This is breathtaking! Love!!!!
