Be sure to check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.
This month’s floral is a beautiful trio of roses; read on for more details about this card!
I started off by using embossing ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss the image onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of watercolor paper.
Next, I used a used a paint brush to went the panel with clean clear water. Using a few colors from the Artists’ Watercolor 24 Pan Set, I painted the blossoms. First I added a bit of Tea Party (a light pink) to the innermost part each petal and pulling it out to the tips of the petal. Then I went back in and added Cherry Blossom, a darker pink, to deepen the innermost area of the petals, again pulling out the color a bit. Then I used Tropical Forest to paint the leaves.
When the blossoms and leaves were dry, I diluted a bit of blue Crystal Water in a palette and then wet the area around the image with clean clear water. I dropped in a bit of the diluted Crystal Water close to the image and then pulled out the color towards the edges of the panel, letting the color fade out. When the blue layer was dry, I loosely masked off the image with paper towel scraps and then flicked some of the diluted blue paint over the panel. And when the panel was dry, I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink.
Thank you so much for visiting! Your next stop is the amazing Norine Borys. Be sure to check below for information about the giveaway and for the full blog hop list!
