Hello and welcome to day one of the countdown to Tuesday’s Hero Arts release! The new kit goes live at 10am PT on September 7th!
My card today features the beautiful floral image from the kit. I used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder to heat emboss the image onto white cardstock. Then I used layering stencils and ink blending brushes to color the image with inks. I used Cotton Candy and Pale Tomato for the petals, Cup O’ Joe and Charcoal for the flower centers, and Lime Green and Fresh Lawn for the leaves. I used the coordinating die to cut out the image and then set it aside.
Next, I cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of Arctic cardstock. I blended Aquatic ink over the four corners of the panel and then trimmed 3/8″ off both the length and the width of the panel. I stamped the sentiment in black pigment ink and then used foam tape to adhere the floral image. To finish, I used more foam tape to adhere the panel to a white A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope you’ll come back on Tuesday for a blog hop celebrating the new release!

What a great way to switch it up! I never think of using non traditional colours, yet who says that these have to be sunflowers? It all depends how you colour it!

The color of the flowers is a surprise…but, so creative against the blue background. Like the die cuts coming off the sides of the panel. Really nice. Thanks for sharing!

Non-traditional coloured sunflowers is a great idea! Look how they can change the colours of tulips by putting a dye in the water. I like the pop of colour in the lime green leaves.
