Hello and welcome, I’m so glad you’re here!

Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Thanks and Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection! If you arrived from Jenny Colacicco’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.
I have three cards to share today so let’s settle in!
Thanks – Cartoon Tulips
My first card features the new Cartoon Tulips stamp set and coordinating dies (also available as a bundle) against a backdrop created with the Mid-Century Frame die.
To recreate this card:
- Stamp the outline layer of the tulip bunch in Permanent Black ink
- Stamp the three petal layers; for the yellow blooms, use Buttercream, Chamomile, and Snapdragon, and for the pink blooms use Blush, Pink Pearl, and Coral Bliss
- Stamp the stem and leaves layers in Bamboo, Parrot, and Grass Field
- Use the coordinating die to cut out the images; set aside
- Stamp the sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock and trim; set aside
- Use the Mid-Century die to cut a window from a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock
- Cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of yellow cardstock (I used Papertrey Ink Harvest Gold)
- Use a Large Blending Tool to blend Snapdragon ink the bottom right two-thirds of the yellow cardstock panel, letting the color fade out within the area exposed behind the Mid-Century window
- Adhere the yellow panel and Mid-Century window panel together
- Adhere the tulips over the background using a combination of glue and foam tape to create some depth and dimension
- Adhere the sentiment strip with foam tape
- Adhere the card front to a card base

Thanks – Floral Thanks
My second card features the Floral Thanks stamp set and coordinating dies (also available as a bundle) framed by diamonds created with the Fine Frames Diamonds die set.
To recreate this card:
- Stamp the layers of the floral spray in Pastel Sunrise, Canyon Clay, Icy Waters, and Misty Moor
- Heat emboss the “thanks” sentiment in a gold embossing powder
- Use the coordinating die to cut out the image; set aside
- Use the Fine Frames Diamonds die set to cut two diamonds from gold cardstock (I used Tonic Honey Gold Mirror cardstock); set aside
- Use a small paintbrush to splatter Antique Gold Metallic Ink Spray over a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock; when dry, trim to 4″ x 5.25″
- Use glue to adhere the diamonds to the splattered background
- Use foam tape to adhere the floral spray
- Use foam tape to adhere the card front to a peachy card base (I used Papertrey Ink Melon Berry)

Blossom & Grow
My last card features the Blossom & Bloom stamp set and coordinating die (also available as a bundle) against a background stamped with the Rustic Linen stamp set.
To recreate this card:
- Stamp the floral image in Permanent Black ink onto white cardstock
- Use the markers from the Sunshine Valley Garden Artist Alcohol Marker set to color the image
- Use the coordinating die to cut out the image; set aside
- Stamp the Rustic Linen background stamp in Silver Stone ink onto a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock
- Use a die from the Rounded Rectangles die set to cut a piece of white cardstock
- Stamp a sentiment in black ink at the bottom right of the rounded rectangle panel
- Use foam tape to adhere the floral image to the rounded rectangle panel
- Use more foam tape to adhere the combined floral and rounded rectangle to the Rustic Linen background
- Adhered the card front to a card base

Hi Seeka. This one hits a bit close to home I am afraid. Today is my parent’s wedding anniversary and the first year my dad is spending it alone. Tulips where her favorite flower and they always remind me of her. It is a lovely card. ❤
