Hello, I hope you’re having a good day!

Today we’re celebrating the release of the Altenew Paint-A-Flower: Lotus Outline Stamp Set with a blog hop and giveaways! If you arrived from Nandini Karmarkar’s blog, you’re right on track. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.

This beautiful stamp set is also available as part of a bundle that includes a 24-pan watercolor set and a 12-pan watercolor set!

I started off by stamping the image in Copic-friendly Permanent Black ink onto white cardstock.

Next, I colored the image using Copic markers. I used R01, RV13, RV09, and RV19 for the blooms and buds, YG00, YG03, YG17, and G28 for the leaves and stems, B000 for the sky, and B01 for the water.

Then, I trimmed the image down using a die from the Rounded Rectangles die set. I used a slightly larger die from the set to cut another piece of white cardstock and then I used foam tape to adhere the two together, to create a frame for the colored image.

For the background, I put a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock into the Ribbon Waves 3D embossing folder and then ran it through my die cutting machine using a cutting plate sandwich appropriate for embossing.

To assemble the card, I used more foam tape to adhere the framed image to the bottom corner of the embossed panel, and then I used double-sided tape to adhere the card front to an A2-sized card base.

  28. Beautiful coloring and I like that you were selective in using just a portion of the image. The embossing folder is perfect for setting it off.
