Hello there, I hope your day is going well!
We’re celebrating the Altenew Suddenly Spring Stand-alone Dies Release! If you arrived from Sandhya Iyer’s blog, you’re right on track. If you want to hop along from the beginning, visit the Altenew Card Blog. Check the bottom of this post for giveaway information and the full blog hop list.
I have fours cards to share today with quick steps to recreate each card!

Grateful For You
To recreate this clean and simple card featuring the Circle Elements Die Set and a few leafy sprigs from the Whimsical Garden Layering Die Set follow these steps:
- Use the largest die from the Circle Elements Die Set to cut an opening from an A2-sized piece of white cardstock
- Place another A2-sized piece of white cardstock directly under the first piece of cardstock and use a pencil to make a few light marks through the some of the outermost small holes in the die cut piece onto the uncut piece of cardstock. These marks provide a guide for what will be visible through the die cut circle.
- Using a large blending tool, and using the light pencil marks as guides, ink blend Chamomile Crisp Dye Ink onto the uncut panel, letting the color fade to white towards the top right
- Deepen the color at the bottom left of the blend by blending on a bit of Snapdragon Crisp Dye Ink (both Chamomile and Snapdragon are available as part of a set of cubes and as a set of full-size ink pads)
- Use foam tape to adhere the die cut panel over the ink-blended panel
- Use the two bottom layer leafy sprig dies from the Whimsical Garden Layering Die Set to die cut three shades of blue and teal cardstock
- Adhere the sprigs to the card front using glue and foam tape, threading the stems of the two small sprigs through the holes in the die cut circle
- Use embossing ink and white embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment, from the Scalloped Ornaments stamp set, onto black cardstock, then trim into a strip
- Adhere the sentiment strip with foam tape
- Adhere the card front to an A2-sized card base

Kisses
My next card features three new items: Fancy Kisses Die, Mini Flower Cluster Layering Die Set, and the Reflections Die. To recreate this card:
- Cut the layers of the blooms in the Mini Flower Cluster set in shades of peach and yellow cardstock, adhere the layers together, and set aside
- Cut the layers of leaves in the set in shades of green cardstock, adhere the layers together, and set aside
- Cut the Fancy Kisses sentiment once from rose-colored mirror cardstock (I used some from Tonic Studios) and three times from heavy white cardstock
- Stack and adhere the sentiment layers together, with the mirror card die cut on top, then set aside
- Use the Reflections die to cut heavy white cardstock and repeat until you have three layers
- Stack and adhere the Reflections layers together
- Use a shimmer pen to add shimmer to the Reflections die cut (I used a pen from Tonic Studios)
- Use glue to adhere the Reflections die cut to an A2-sized piece of white cardstock
- Use glue to adhere the Kisses sentiment to the center of the panel, over the Reflections die cut
- Adhere the blooms to the card front with adhesive dots, or some other adhesive that will still allow you to tuck leaves under the edges
- Adhere the leaves around and underneath the blooms
- Adhere the card front to an A2-sized card base

Warm Hugs
This card features the a large die from the Whimsical Garden Layering Die set and masked-ink blending.
- Use the bottom layer of the large stemmed blooms die from the Whimsical Garden Layering Die Set to cut a piece of masking paper
- Apply the mask to an A2-sized piece of white cardstock
- Use Post-it Tape to mask off the borders of the panel, overlapping the mask placed in step 2
- Use two large blending tools to blend Coral Bliss Crisp Dye Ink onto the bottom part of the exposed area of the panel, and Sunkissed Crisp Dye Ink onto the top part of the exposed area, overlapping and blending the colors together where they meet in the center
- Remove the masks
- Use the top layer of the large stemmed blooms die to cut a piece of dark gray cardstock
- Use a glue pen to add glue to the back of the die cut and then adhere it to the panel, outlining the masked image
- Stamp the Warm Hugs sentiment from the Needlework Motif stamp set in black pigment ink
- Adhere the card front to an A2-sized card base

Miss You
My last card today uses more dies from the Whimsical Garden Layering Die set. To create this quick and easy card:
- Use the die for the bottom layer of the sprig of flowers from the die set to cut three shades of coral and peach cardstock and then set the die cuts aside
- Use the die for the top layer of the sprig of flowers to cut rose-colored mirror cardstock and then set the die cuts aside
- Mask off the borders of an A2-sized piece of white cardstock
- Using a large blending tool, blend Dew Drops Crisp Dye Ink onto the left side of the panel
- Deepen the color at the left by blending on a bit of Aqualicious Crisp Dye Ink
- Remove the mask
- Use glue to adhere the stems of the die cuts to the panel, leaving the small blooms free
- Use small glue dots to adhere some of the blooms, where additional adhesive helps secure the die cuts to the panel
- Stamp the sentiment, from the Paint-A-Flower: Coral Sunset Outline stamp set, in black pigment ink
- Adhere the card front to an A2-sized card base
