Today, we’re celebrating the Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Cistus Layering Die Set & Gradient Cardstock Release (also available as a bundle and as part of a monthly subscription so you never miss out)! My card today features the Craft-A-Flower: Cosmos set from February and two of the new gradient cardstock sets: New Purple and Red Sunset.

I started off by cutting the three petal layers of the Cosmos flowers in three colors of cardstock from the New Purple gradient cardstock set. Then I cut the two flower center layers using colors from the Red Sunset gradient cardstock set. I layered and adhered the layers of the blooms together and then used some scraps of green cardstock to cut the leaves.

For the background, I splattered a bit of black paint over a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panel of white cardstock and then stamped the sentiment, from the Folk Art stamp set, in Permanent Black ink.

To assemble the card, I adhered the blooms and stems using glue, adhesive dots, and foam tape for varied dimension and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

  38. The purple gradient card stock was my favorite when I say the choices. You made it look wonderfully like the Cosmos that grow in my garden each summer.

  41. Lovely purples! You can’t go wrong with shades of purple…there is just something about this color that lifts the spirits, and instills a sense of calm.
