Hi there, I hope you’re having a nice weekend!
Today Spellbinders introduced a new monthly subscription, their Clear Stamp Of The Month Club! This month’s $10 stamp set features a beautiful jewel adorned with poinsettias, berries, and holiday greenery.
I began by using Hero Arts Platinum embossing powder to heat emboss the image and sentiment onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I quickly colored the image using Distress Oxide inks. I smooshed a bit of Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Evergreen Bough, and Tumbled Glass onto my glass work surface and then used a waterbrush pen to pick up the color and quickly color the image. When it was dry, I used my ScanNCut to cut out the image, though it would have been easy to fussy cut as well.
Next, I used a blending brush to blend Altenew Iceberg ink onto the corners of an A2-sized panel of Neenah. Then I deepened the color at each corner with Eastern Sky. Using the Essentials Rectangles die set from Spellbinders, I die cut two rectangles of pierced detailing into the panel and then trimmed it to 4″ x 5.25″.
To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the background to an A2-sized card base and then I used more foam tape to adhere the jewel.
Thank you so much for coming by!
