The new Gina K. Designs release went live last night and today I have a couple of cards using the new Love Conquers stamp set. I love the elegant script of these sentiments!
I started by using an older stencil, Water Droplets, a blending brush, and Prickly Pear ink to create two backgrounds. I used a bit of low-tack Purple Tape to hold an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock to the stencil. Using very quick back and forth strokes, I quickly added color through the stencil. I like how this quick and loose motion caused some ink to build up around the edges of the stencil openings, creating some color variation and the just the slightest hint of shading.
I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the largest sentiment, and a little heart, onto one background. I trimmed the second background to 4.25″ square and stamped a smaller sentiment and three hearts. I backed each piece with foam tape and then adhered them to card bases.
