Hi there, I hope you’re having a good weekend!
Today I have quick card featuring a salvaged heat-embossed ink-blended background using the Hero Arts Sunburst Bold Prints stamp.
This heat embossed panel has been sitting in a pile for a couple of months and I finally decided that a little bit of messy embossing shouldn’t prevent it from becoming a card 🤣. It’s an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth onto which I used Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts Embossing Powder to heat emboss the Sunburst stamp.
Using foam blending tools, I blended Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks onto the panel, starting at the center and working my way out to the edges of the panel. When the ink had dried a bit, I used a clean paper towel to buff away any ink that was sitting on top of the embossing powder.
Next I used the Sweet Hello die from My Favorite Things to die cut the word hello three times from white cardstock. I stacked and adhered the layers together and then glued the sentiment to the shadow layer, which I’d cut from vellum. Using thin strips of foam tape, I adhered the sentiment to the ink-blended background. Beneath it I adhered a sentiment strip stamped with the Well Hello stamp set, also from My Favorite Things.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
