Gnome School Is In Session | Simon Says Stamp August Release

Hi there, I hope you’re weekend is going well!

The Simon Says Stamp Let’s Connect release is here and, as usual, it’s a cute one!  My card today features the new Gnome School stamp set.

I started by stamping the little school and the gnome in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  Then I colored with Copics.  I lost track of the browns, but the reds are R32, R35, and R46.  The blues are BG11, BG15, and BG49, and the bird has just a touch of B34 on the very top of his head.  I also added a bit of grays to to to the windows and to the soles of the little gnomes shoes. I cut out the images and set them aside.

Next I prepped the sentiment by heat embossing it onto Hero Arts black cardstock using Wow! Embossing Pad and Hero Arts white embossing powder.

Next, I used foam blending tools to ink-blend Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide inks onto an A2-sized panel of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.

To assemble the card, I adhered the gnome, the schoolhouse, and the sentiment to the background with foam tape and then I adhered the card front to a card base.
