Hi there, I hope you’re having a good week!
The Altenew July 2020 Stamp/Die/Stencil/Ink Release is live and there are a ton of beautiful things to play with! I have seven (SEVEN!) cards to share with you which I’m pretty sure is a record for me 🙂
My first card above features the Courageous You stamp set. I stamped the large floral in black pigment ink onto Fabriano Artistico Extra White Cold Press watercolor paper and colored it with several markers from the Tropical Fiesta Watercolor Brush Marker set: Purple Wine, Fresh Lemon, and Sweet Leaf. I applied color direct-to-paper and used a water brush pen filled with clean clear water to pull the color out and blend the colors together. Then I stamped the sentiment, from the same set, in black pigment ink and adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
My next card features the same floral stamp set paired with Mega Label Love stamp set. How cute are these giant label stamps?! I stamped the sentiments in (from top to bottom): Coral Bliss, Snapdragon, Bamboo, and Aqualicious Crisp Dye inks. I fussy cut the sentiments, adhered them to the stamped background and then adhered the card front to a card base.
My third card features the Circle Greetings: Hello die, the Rose Petal Washi Tape Set, and a stamped sentiment from the older Needlework Motif stamp set. I die cut the circle greeting out of an A2-sized card front and then backed the piece with foam tap before adhering it over a card base over which I’d adhered four stripes of washi tape. Then I added, again with foam tape, the stamped sentiment.
My next card uses the beautiful new Fragile Foliage stamp set. I first blended Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. When it was dry, I placed the panel into a Misti and stamped the foliage onto it using black pigment ink. Then I placed a an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White into theMisti and stamped the foliage again but this time in a dark gray pigment ink (I used a lighter ink because the black ink on Oxide background appears lighter than black). Next I trimmed the ink-blended panel down and then stamped the sentiment onto it. I backed it with foam tape and adhered it over the stamped image on the piece of Neenah Solar white, aligning the images to make them appear like a continuous image. Then I adhered the card front to a card base.
The next card, above, features the Floral In ‘N’ Out Border die. I die cut a panel and then adhered it over an ink-blended panel (Wild Honey, Carved Pumpkin, and Seedless Preserves Oxide inks). Then I stamped a sentiment from the Fragile Foliage stamp set.
And my last card (phew!) features the same Floral In ‘N’ Out Border die, this time die cut out of a panel over which I’d adhered stripes of washi tape from the Tea Party Washi Tape set. The sentiment, adhered to two layers of vellum frames, is from the Needlework Motif stamp set.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Great csards
