Hi there, I hope your day is going well.
I have a quick one-layer sympathy card today using some subdued blended greens and blues.
I started by using Post-it Tape to mask off the edges of an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then, using foam blending tools, I blended Speckled Egg, Broken China, and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks onto the panel. Specked Egg is the new Distress color and I find it to be a bit lighter and greener than Stormy Sky, and a bit darker, dimmer, and greener than Tumbled Glass.
I removed the masking and then when the panel was dry, I stamped a leafy branch image from the Simon Says Stamp Be Kind stamp set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I curved the stem of the branch in towards the center of the card a bit to create a little arc that would cup the sentiment. Then I stamped the sentiment, from the Simon Says Stamp Sketched Flowers stamp set in the same black ink.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting, I appreciate you!
Such a wonderful card… and beautiful way to send condolences, Seeka.
