Hi there, I hope your week is going well and that you’re staying safe and healthy!
Today I’m sharing a floral card using the new Petal Perfection stamp set from The Stamp Market’s May release.
I started off by stamping and die cutting a whole mess of flowers using the Petal Perfection stamps and coordinating dies. This beautiful bloom has three layers and I played around with lots of different color combinations. This particular combination consists of Pinkfresh Studio ink colors: Ballet Slipper for the lightest color, Peach Fuzz for the middle layer, and Peach Fuzz double-double stamped for the third layer. I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the center of each flower. For the leaves I used Fresh Pear and what I’m pretty sure is Grassy Knoll (I was in such a stamping frenzy that I forgot to write everything down!).
Next, I used white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Fine Lines background stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then I used a foam blending tool to add Tattered Rose Distress Oxide ink over the entire background. I trimmed the panel down to 4″ x 5.25″.
For the sentiment, I used the Hello Serif die which includes the sentiment die and a shadow layer. I cut the sentiment twice from white cardstock and then stacked and adhered the pieces together. Then I cut the shadow layer from vellum and adhered the letters to the shadow layer. I used a stamp from the Well Wishes stamp set and the same black ink to stamp the smaller sentiment.
To assemble the card, adhered the flowers and leaves to the pink background using a combination of Zots Bling adhesive dots and foam tape. To get the right combination of leaves, I cut apart some of the leaf die cuts and tucked them in around the flower. No one will ever know that the there are only three leaf die cuts on this entire card! I adhered the sentiments with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
Looks fun! I may give it a try soon 😀
