Hi there, I hope you’re doing well.

Today I have a very quick and easy card with some white-on-white texture.  I’ve used a few items from The Stamp Market, some new, and some old.

I started by stamping three layered butterflies from the Butterfly Builder stamp set.  Two butterflies have just two layers for their wings, for which I used Sunray and Snapdragon Altenew inks.  For the third butterfly, I added Chamomile Altenew ink as the middle tone.  I used Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp the butterfly’s bodies, and then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the background, I used the Leaves Card Cover die to die cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  I used it again to cut a piece of 110# white Recollections cardstock.  This 110# paper is my paper of choice when I plan to layer die cuts because it’s so inexpensive (I usually get it at Michael’s with a 50% off coupon).  I layered and adhered the two die cuts together, with the Neenah layer on top.  Then I adhered the layered piece onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah.

Next I die cut the sentiment which is from the Simple Sentiments die set from Neenah, and the shadow layer from vellum.  I received this die set as part of my Color Crush Event package (an event that I registered and for, but which was cancelled due to coronavirus) and I think it will be part of an upcoming release.

To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment to the background and then adhered the butterflies with foam tape.  For the largest butterfly, I only added foam tape behind the left side, so that I could tuck the right wing beneath the sentiment.  Last, I adhered a few Clear Droplets to the card front and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks so much for coming by!
