Encouragement Cards, Just Because Cards

Do What You Love

Hi there, I hope your day is going well and that you’re feeling well and staying safe.

Today I have a card using products from The Stamp Market.  This is my first time playing with their cardstock and I loved how easy it was to pick colors that go so well together!

I received the Do What You Love die in a box of goodies that The Stamp Market sent out to those who had registered for The Color Crush Event which was scheduled to take place last weekend in Provo, UT, but which was converted to an online event due to coronovirus.  This die isn’t in available in the shop, but I think it will be coming soon.  Everything else I used on this card is available, and I think it would be easy to swap out this sentiment with any other beautiful sentiment die from The Stamp Market!

Also in our box were sheets of cardstock in the Color Crush colors.  For the letters in the sentiment, I used Party Pink, Fresh Pink, Citrine, Sea Glass, and Tropic Teal cardstock.  I die cut the sentiment five times, once from each color (which means that I have enough letters to make five of these cards!), and once from white cardstock.  I picked the color letters I wanted to use and then adhered them to a white cardstock letter, for just the tiniest hint of dimension.  This is a totally unnecessary step, but I liked how it helped each letter to pop away from the die cut shadow layer of the sentiment.

For the background, I used a leaf stamp from the Big Botanicals stamp set to stamp a pattern in Citrine ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  Next, I used the Pierced Plaid Cover Die to die cut another piece of Neenah Solar White.  I love the subtle texture that this cover die creates!  I trimmed this pierced panel down to 3.75″ x 5″.

To assemble the card, I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the pierced layer, and then used more foam tape to adhere the pierced layer to the Citrine-stamped background.  As a final touch, I added a few Clear Droplets to the card front before I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!

  1. This is an incredible card. I would have never thought to mix a botanical background with the geometric cover die, but it looks amazing. You are very creative, and am so glad I found your site!
