Hi there, I hope you’re well! This week has been so incredibly strange with all the news. I’m so grateful that it’s the weekend and I have some downtime to rest and recover. I hope you also get some time to relax!
Today I have a quick and easy card made with a rescued watercolor panel that I had played with and almost thrown out a couple of weeks ago.
I created this watercolor pane by scribbling three colors of Karin Brushpro markers (Red Lilac, Plum, and Indigo Blue) onto a piece of watercolor paper. Then I used a flat brush to add clean clear water over the panel, blending the colors together. As you can see, I didn’t blend out the colors very well and you can see my pen strokes. That’s why I almost threw the panel away because at the time, I wanted a really smooth finish.
Today, when I came across the panel while I was tidying my desk, I still couldn’t bring myself to throw it away. I really like the colors 🙂
So, I got out the Simon Says Stamp Mum Flower Frame die and die cut an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White. I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp CZ Design You Got This stamp set (kind of perfect given the virus scare right now, right?) and then adhered the panel over the watercolor piece.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you for coming by!
Beautiful!!
