Hi there, I hope you had a great weekend!
Today I’ve got a card using the latest Greenhouse Society stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday. If you love florals, take a look at the Greenhouse Society page to learn how to subscribe for a nice discount on a monthly stamp set!
To start off my card, I use Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and Hero Arts Ultra Fine clear embossing powder to heat emboss the Mixed Flower Bouquet stamp onto Fabriano Artistico Extra White watercolor paper. Next I colored the image using Karin Brushmarker Pro watercolor pens: Gold, Pale Orange, and Pale Pink for the flowers, and Olive Green for the leaves. I wet each petal or leave with a waterbrush pen filled with clean clear water and then touched the watercolor pen to the part of the petal or leaf that I wanted to be the darkest, and then used the waterbrush pen to pull out the color to the rest of the petal or leaf. When I finished coloring, I let the panel dry and then used the coordinating die to cut out the image.
Next, I got out an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock and used Post-it Tape to mask off the edges. Then, using foam blending tools, I blended on Dried Marigold, Tattered Rose, and Spun Sugar Distress inks.
When the the background was dry, I adhered the sentiment which I’d die cut using a die from the coordinating die set. Then, I backed the floral image with foam tape and adhered it to the panel. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
