Birthday Wishes | A Blog Named Hero February Challenge

Hi there, I hope your weekend is getting off to a great start!

It’s the 15th and that means there’s a new challenge over on A Blog Named Hero and this month’s theme is Birthday.  Join in the challenge for a chance to win one of two gift cards!

For my card today, I used the new You’re Top Tier stamp set and coordinating dies from the February release.

I started by stamping the tier of cupcakes and the small tag in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock.  I colored the cupcakes using V01 and V04 for the purples, E50 and E53 for the creams, G12 and G14 for the greens, and R14 and R27 for the reds.  The chocolate of the cupcakes is E29, and the gray of the wrappers is C3.  For the tiered platter, I used BG10, BG11, and BG13.  I also added some slightly more detailed shading with Polychromos colored pencils.  When I finished coloring, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images.

Next, I stamped the Floral Doily Bold Prints background stamp in purple dye ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah.

To assemble the card, I adhered the cupcakes and tag with foam tape to background.  Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
