Love You | Simon Says Stamp

Hi there!

I have another card today featuring the new Heart Garland background stamp from Simon Says Stamp, this time with a purple twist.

Like my last card, I started by using white Hero Arts embossing powder and Wow! Embossing pad to heat emboss the background onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I got out Seedless Preserves, Dusty Concord, and Milled Lavender Distress Inks and using foam blending tools, I created an ombre blend.

While the ink was drying, I used the CZ Design Love You die to create the sentiment.  This die set comes with the sentiment as well as a shadow layer.  I die cut the shadow layer four times out of white cardstock and then stacked and adhered them together.  I cut the thinner sentiment once and used a tamping motion to ink it up with Seedless Preserves.  Then I adhered this layer to the thicker shadow layer.

To assemble the card I first trimmed the background panel to about three inches wide before using foam tape to adhere it to an A2-sized card base. To finish, I adhered the sentiment.
