Hi there, I hope your week has gotten off to a good start!
Today I’m sharing a card using the A Little Prickly stamp and die set from Technique Tuesday. This cute set has three succulent images and some great punny sentiments!
I started by stamping the succulents in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I took my time coloring. I used YG00, YG03, YG25, and YG17 for the greens, R20, R22, R24 for the flower, E70, E71, and E74 for the pots, and B21, B24, and B27 for the accents on the pots. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images and then set them aside to work on the background.
I stamped the sentiment onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White in the same black ink and then used the same three blue Copics to color in “hug you!” with an ombre effect. Then I added some sketchy corners with a ruler and Copic black 0.03 pen.
To assemble the card, I adhered the cactus at the back directly onto the card front and then used foam tape to pop up the two pots in the foreground. Then I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
