Hi there, I hope you’re having a lovely day! Can you believe it’s already the middle of September? And, the middle of the month means there’s a new A Blog Named Hero challenge! This month’s challenge theme is “Inspired By Another Crafter.”
My card today is CAS(e)d from Julie Ebersole who is one of my favorite designers. I love her clean and simple style.
I started by stamping the large floral from the Hero Arts and Gina K. Designs Friendship Blooms collaboration stamp set using Hero Arts Pink Tourmaline ink. This ink was from a My Monthly Hero Card Kit from year before last and I picked this color because it closely resembles the Hero Arts Plum cardstock. I stamped onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock and then set it aside.
For the sentiment, I cut strips of Pesto, Mustard, and Plum Hero Arts cardstocks. Then I used white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss sentiments from the You are Loved stamp set.
I trimmed the strips and then used Post-It Tape to temporarily hold them in place while I aligned them. Then I flipped them over, added foam tape to the back of each strip, and adhered them to the card front.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Seeka, I never thought such a simple card could be so gorgeous, but the colours you chose and strips of sentiments, made this such an amazing card! Hugs, Gwendolyn
