No One Is You And That Is Your Superpower

Hi there, I hope your day is going well!

Today I’m sharing another card using a stamp from The Ton Stamps new Fall 2019 release.  My jaw dropped when I saw this beautiful butterfly and I couldn’t wait to color it!

I started by stamping the gorgeous butterfly from the Transformation stamp set in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  Then I settled in to coloring.  I started with the wing and laid down a solid layer of BG000, then I went super dark and added a bit of V09 to the edge of the wing.  I blended that out with BV17 and then blended that out, in turn, with B32.  I continued blending with BG02, and B02 until I got a moderately smooth blend.

I used the same colors and blending for the flowers, and then used YG05, YG09, ad G09 for the leaves.  To finish off the coloring, I added some dots of white Uni-Ball Signo gel pen over the anthers at the center of each flower.  Using a Brother ScanNCut2, I cut out the butterfly and then set it aside to work on the background.

Onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.  Then, using Morning Mist, a gray Versafine Clair ink, I stamped some flowers. Both the sentiment and flowers are from the same stamp set.

To assemble the card, I backed the butterfly with foam tape and adhered it to the background. Then I adhered the background to an A2-sized card base.

Thank you so much for visiting!
