Today Will Be Awesome | Take 2

Hi there, I hope you’re enjoying your day!

I’ve got another card today using the new Today Will Be Awesome die from Simon Says Stamp, this time using a pretty background stamp as a backdrop.

I started by heat embossing the Simon Says Stamp Outline Leaves Background on Canson XL watercolor paper using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts Embossing Powder.  Then I watercolored the leaves with Avery Elle Lemongrass watercolor and a bit of Celery watercolor.  I filled in the negative space with Aquamarine.

While the panel was drying, I used the sentiment die to cut a piece of Neenah Solar White.  I used the coordinating rectangle die to cut another piece of watercolor paper which I watercolored with Aquamarine.

When everything was dry, I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment die cut onto the small Aquamarine rectangle and then adhered the resulting piece directly onto the background.  To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
