You Are Magic

Today I’ve got a quick and easy card using one of the beautiful silhouette stamps from the Simon Says Stamp Wildflowers stamp set. It’s a great set to put some of your extra backgrounds to use!

I was working on another project (coming on Thursday!) and had an extra background that I’d inked up. The background is Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, Scattered Straw, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks blended onto a Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. When the panel was dry, I used one of the two large silhouette stamps from the Wildflowers set to stamp the florals in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

For the sentiment, I used Wow! Embossing Pad and Wow! Inca Glintz embossing powder to heat emboss “You Are Magic” onto black cardstock. This sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp CZ Design Simple Sentiments No. 01 stamp set. I thought it was perfect for this magical scene!

I backed the sentiment strip with foam tape and adhered it to the background. Then to finish, I adhered the background to an A2-sized card base.
