Hi there, I hope you’re having a great day!
Today I’m playing with some items from Catherine Pooler Designs, available over at Scrapbook.com. These sherbert-y colors feel so summery to me!
And, I’m super excited to have posted my first mini-video over on Instagram so I hope you’ll visit me over there! It’s not a great video, but it’s a start 🙂
I started by using the Catherine Pooler Celebrate die to cut the sentiment three times out of scrap white cardstock. I inked up one die cut with a Wow! Embossing Pad, going direct to paper to cover the entire surface, and then I dunked the die cut into my container of Judikins Translucent Gold embossing powder and hit it with a heat gun. I stacked and adhered all three die cuts together with a Zig 2-way Glue Pen.
For the background I mounted the long garland stamp from the Catherine Pooler Punctuated Party stamp set onto an acrylic block and then stamped it across an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock multiple times. I used Catherine Pooler It’s a Girl, Mint To Be, and Melon Ice inks. Then I added a bit more gold embossing using one of the smaller stamps in the stamp set.
To finish, I adhered the sentiment to the top of the background and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
I created an almost identical card following a similar process, but the second time around I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the card front first and then stamped the garlands second so I could space them properly around the sentiment.
Thank you so much for visiting!
