Summertime

Hello there, I hope you’re having a great week!

It’s release day over at Simon Says Stamp!  This release’s theme is Rest and Refresh and today I’m sharing a nautical themed card using a new background stamp.

I started by using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Anchors Cling stamp onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then I used foam blending tools to blend Blue Raspberry, Splash, and Blue Hawaii Hero Arts Reactive inks over the panel.  When I finished blending, I used a very lightly damp paper towel to remove any ink sitting on top of the embossing and then set the panel aside to let it dry.

I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Summertime die and die cut a piece of Neenah Solar White.  I used the same three ink colors and blended colors over the fall out letters and then I placed the letters back in the positive cut and used thin paper tape to hold them in place.

To assemble the card, I trimmed a bit off both sides of the anchor panel and then adhered it to an A2-sized card base.  Then I backed the sentiment die cut with foam tape and adhered it to the panel.
