Hi there, I hope you’re having a great day!
Technique Tuesday is celebrating their June release with a blog hop and if you arrived from the Technique Tuesday blog, you’re right on track!
Today I’m sharing the first of several cards I made using the new Blooming Branches stamp set and coordinating dies. This set is the latest in the beautiful Greenhouse Society collection which features a gorgeous floral stamp set each month. You can even subscribe so you never miss out!
I started by stamping the blooming branch in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Using some light reds (R01, R11, R21, and R22, I colored the petals, using the darker colors only at the centers and edges of the petals. Then I used Y15 to color the anthers at the centers of each flower. For the leaves, I used YG11, YG13, and YG17, and for the branch, I used E31, E55, and E57. Then I used the coordinating die to cut out the image.
For the background, I used a ruler and a black Copic 0.03 Multiliner pen to draw a frame onto a 4bar sized piece of Neenah Solar White. Then I stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
To assemble the card, I adhered the blooming branch with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an 4bar-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting! Your next stop is Norine!
