Hi there, I hope you’re having a good week!
Today I’m playing with some goodies from The Stamp Market that have been neglected in my stash for too long. This flower background makes me so happy!
I started by using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Flower Power background stamp onto Canson XL Watercolor paper.
I used painter’s tape to tape the panel down onto my work surface and wet the panel using a flat brush and clean clear water. Using a round brush and Mission Mijello Gold watercolors, I added some Permanent Yellow Light to the top of the panel and let it spread a little. Then I added some Permanent Rose to the bottom of the panel and let it spread a little. And then I just took my brush and forced the two colors to meet in the middle 🙂 Can you tell I wasn’t feeling very patient or methodical?
For the sentiment, I used the Thanks die four times and stacked and adhered the sentiments together. I used Neenah Solar White for the top layer, since it’s a nice bright white, and I used some thicker scrap cardstock for the other three layers.
To assemble the card, I adhered the sentiment to the background and then adhered the panel to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
