Hi there, I hope you had a lovely weekend! If you arrived from Technique Tuesday blog, you’re right on track!
Today I’m super excited to share my first project as a member of Technique Tuesday’s Greenhouse Society design team. If you’re not familiar with this collection of floral and nature-themed stamps and coordinating dies, visit Technique Tuesday* to learn more and to read about how you can subscribe for a whopping 25% discount on the monthly release!
Over the next couple of weeks I’ll be sharing two more cards using this single flower image. I love how versatile this Meadow Flowers image is!
For this card, I started by stamping the floral image twice, in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored the blooms with RV00, RV52, RV63, and RV66, adding a bit of gold gel pen to the anthers. For the leaves and stems, I used G40, G43, and YG67.
Using the coordinating die, I cut out both images and cut six additional pieces out of scrap 110# white cardstock. I stacked and adhered three white layers together and then adhered a colored image on top. I did the same with the remaining three white pieces and colored image.
For the background, I drew a sketchy border with a black 0.03 Copic Multiliner pen and stamped the sentiment, also from the Meadow Flowers set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I adhered the floral die cuts to the panel and trimmed off the ends that were hanging off the edges. To finish, I adhered the cardfront to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
