Hi there, I hope your week has gotten off to a good start!
Today I’m playing with another border die from Paper Rose Studio, this time using it to add a bit of interest to a clean and simple card.
I started by stamping the Paper Rose Cactus Wishes cactus in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then, I colored 🙂 I used YG01, YG13, YG17, YG67, and G29 for the cactus, leaving most of the flicked strokes visible. Then I used YR000, YR01, YR02, E08, and E97 for the pot. Frankly, some of the very light colors don’t end up being noticeable at all so I easily could have skipped them. I used a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut out the image and then set it aside.
Using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder, I heat embossed the sentiment (from the same stamp set) onto a strip of black 110# Recollections card stock. I trimmed one edge at an angle and then set it aside.
For the background panel, I used the Brick Wall Border die to cut through an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White. Again, I was really impressed how well the Paper Rose die cut. All those little pieces just fell right out! I adhered the cut panel on top of another A2-sized piece of Neenah for a tone-on-tone background.
To assemble the card, I backed the pot and sentiment with foam tape and then adhered them to the background which I in turn adhered onto an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Great CAS card x
