Hi there, I hope your week is going well!
It’s been a stressful work week for me so far but I’m grateful to have an awesome team. Know what else I’m grateful for? A new Simon Says Stamp release, available now!
I’ve been playing with the sweet Bunny Wishes stamp set. I love the versatility of this set, with its spring-, Easter-, and baby-related sentiments!
I started by stamping the bunny and birds in Copic-Friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. I colored the bunny with T1, T2, and T3, and used a bit of R30 on his hears and the soles of his feet. For his balloons, I used R20, R22, and R24 for the pink, B000, B41, and B45 for the blue, and Y00, Y11, Y13, and Y15 for the yellow. I used these same yellows for the little birds, adding a bit of YR15 for their beaks.
Using a Brother ScanNCut2, I cut them out and then did a little bit of fine-tuning. I turned the bird on the right into a flying bird by using white and yellow Sakura Gelly Roll pens to cover his feet, which had been stamped in black. And, I used an X-Acto knife to cut out the areas around the balloon strings.
Then I worked on the background. I colored the grass with YG21, YG13, and YG17 and then used a cloud stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to blend on the clouds. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
To finish, I adhered the bunny and birds to the background with foam tape and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
