Hope Your Day Is Grande

Hi there, I hope you’ve had a great weekend!

I finally got my paws on this sweet bear from the Essentials By Ellen line at Ellen Hutson.  He’s a few years old but only just came to live with me last week and boy did he move in with a lot of accessories!

I used two Essentials By Ellen stamp sets, both designed by Julie Ebersole.  The bear comes from the All Inside set and the coffee cup comes from the A Breve Note stamp set.  I stamped both images in Copic-friendly Hero Arts ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  Then I got down to coloring.  I used E30, E33, E35, and E37 for the bear, adding texture with a small rag and Copic colorless blending solution as well as by adding some stippling which makes my bear looks like he has some freckles.

For the coffee cup, I used BG11 and BG15 for the leaves, R20, R22, and R24 for the rest of the cup, and E13, E15, and E18 for the coffee.

I used the coordinating die to cut out the bear and then fussy cut the cup, trimming off the saucer that it sets on.  I used another die in the die set to due cut out a sun and used Y13, Y15, and Y18 to color it.

The sentiment is from the Latte Love set, another one by Julie Ebersole, and I used Wow! Embossing Pad and gold Ranger Super Fine Embossing Powder to emboss the it onto a strip of vellum paper.  I used scissors to create a fish tail at one end of the strip.

For the background I used a foam blending tool to blend a bit of Broken China Distress Ink onto an A2-sized piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then to assemble the card, I adhered the sun and the left end of the sentiment strip flush to the background.  I adhered the cup into the bears hand and then backed to bear with foam tape before adding him to the background.  To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.

Thanks for visiting!
