Hi there, I hope you’re having a lovely day!
Today’s card uses some beautiful stamp sets from Altenew’s February release. I love tulips and when I need a pick-me-up, I treat myself to a small bunch (usually yellow) that I put on my craft table. Plus, they remind me of spring and I think most of us are impatiently waiting for winter to be over!
I started by stamping all of the layering tulips from the Exotic Tulips stamp set in yellow and peachy Altenew Crisp Ink colors onto Neenah Solar White Classic Crest cardstock. I used Sunkissed for the outline and fine detail layers, Vanilla Cream for the solid layer, and Peach Perfect for the middle layer. Then I stamped the leaves and stems, using Frayed Leaf for the solid layer and Forest Glades for the detail layer. I die cut all of the elements out using the coordinating die set and then set them aside while I worked on the background.
Onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah, I stamped two leafy circles from the Botanical Silhouettes stamp set in Morning Mist Crisp Dye ink to create a subtle background for the tulips. The circles overlap each other a bit but I knew they’d be hidden so I didn’t worry about masking.
I arranged the flowers, stems, and leaves onto the panel and then liquid glue to adhere the stems flush to the card. I used Zots Bling glue dots to adhere all the leaves and all but the front-most flower, which I adhered with foam tape.
To finish the card, I stamped two sentiments from the Reason to Smile stamp set in Versafine Clair Morning Mist ink and then adhered card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
So lovely! This is my fave stamp from this release! Although I do like several others……LOL!
