Hi again!
I went back to basics with stamping and a bit of heat embossing for a quick and easy card using the sweet Lavender Bud mini stamp set from Altenew. Is it a purple forest? Is it rows of lavender bushes? You decide!
I started with an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock and three Altenew Crisp Dye inks: Wisteria, Hydrangea, and Ultraviolet. Using an acrylic block and Wisteria, the lightest purple, I stamped a row of lavender bushes near the top of the card. I switched to Hydrangea for the second row, and then used Ultraviolet for the bottom row. If you don’t have three shades of the same color, you could use second- and third-generation stamping to achieve a similar result.
I used Wow! Embossing Pad and Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder to heat embossed the sentiment onto a long strip of Darice vellum. I cut a strip of purple Recollections cardstock to be just shorter than the vellum strip and then layered the two together, wrapping their ends around the back of the card front and adhering them with clear tape.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I’m pleased to report that little mini is on its way to me now! LOve the purples of your fabulous forest, Seeka! a beautiful way to say thank you!
