Hi there, I hope you’re having a good day!
Today I found time to color this gorgeous bloom from My Favorite Things. I confess I had some commitment issues when I started (it’s a whole lot of petals, am I right?) but once I got started, I found it went rather quickly!
I started by stamping the Beautiful Bloom stamp in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then, using RV52, RV63, RV66, and RV69, I colored all but the innermost petals. For each petal, I started with a solid layer of the lightest color, RV52, and then jumped to RV66 to outline the petal and RV63 to blend a bit between the two colors. Then I went back and added some very dark RV69 in the nooks and crannies.
For the innermost petals I followed the same process, this time using Y11, Y18, Y38. and YR07.
I used a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut out the flower and then I backed it with foam tape.
For the sentiment, I used the Twice the Thanks die set and the Kind Thanks stamp set, both also from My Favorite Things. I stamped the smaller sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a strip of Neenah and then used one of the dies to die cut “Thank You” from black 110# Recollections cardstock. I adhered the die cut to an A2-sized piece of Neenah, and then adhered the sentiment strip with foam tape.
To finish the card, I adhered the bloom and then adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
