Hello, Starshine You Light Up My Day

Hi there, I hope you’re having a great weekend!

Today’s card using my favorite stamp set from Altenew’s January release.  The flowers in the Wonderland stamp set make me swoon!I started by using Wow! Embossing Pad and Wow! Rose Glintz embossing powder to heat emboss two of the flower images (those two flowers are part of one stamp) onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock.  Then, I painted them using Distress Oxide inks.  I smooshed Tattered Rose, Dried Marigold, Rusty Hinge, and a bit of Aged Mahogany onto my glass work surface and then used a water brush to paint the petals.  Then I used Peeled Paint and Forest Moss to paint the stems.

While the ink was drying, I used a Misti stamping tool to stamp the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  The “Hello, Starshine” stamp has the two words in one line so I just inked up one word at a time so that I could stamp it in two lines.

When the flowers were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die cut them and then backed them all with foam tape before adhering them to the card front.  To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
