Hi there!
Catching up again on posts and today sharing this quick card using emboss resist ink blending. I love love love this technique for a quick but eye-catching card!
I started by using Wow! Embossing Pad and white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the raining hearts from the Concord and 9th Love Always stamp set. All these little hearts are part of on giant stamp from the set, how easy is that?! I used Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock since I know that Distress Oxide inks blend like a dream and don’t need my precious Bristol Smooth cardstock which I hoard save for regular Distress Ink blending.
Using foam blending tools, I laid down heavy creamy bands of Candied Apple Distress Oxide ink at the top of the panel and Picked Raspberry at the bottom, taking my time to blend them where they met in the center. Then I gently rubbed a clean paper towel over the embossing to wipe away any ink sitting on top of the hearts.
I used the Concord and 9th Love Always frame dies to die cut the “love” sentiment. The die is intended to be used with a frame so I had to trim off a little bit of extra paper at the end of the “l” and of the “e” which was easy enough to do with some small scissors. Then I used a Zig 2-way Glue Pen to add adhesive to the back of the sentiment and adhere it to the card front. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for visiting!
