Have A Cozy Christmas

Hello and happy Monday!

Today I’m pairing some new and old Essentials By Ellen stamp sets from Ellen Hutson, designed by Julie Ebersole.  I just love her designs which are so perfect for clean and simple cards!

I started with an A2-sized piece of Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock.  I used a Misti stamping tool to position a stamp from the Winterscapes stamp set and then inked the top part of it with Catherine Pooler Grape Crush ink. Because I wanted to create a gradient effect with another color, I used a cloth to dabb away some of the ink from the bottom of the inked up area so that I wouldn’t get a harsh line.  I stamped down onto the paper, cleaned the stamp, and then added Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuschia to the bottom part of the stamp, again dabbing away where it would overlap with the Grape Crush.  I stamped again and the result was this pretty purple and pink sky.

I used the Home & Hearth die set to die cut the houses and trees from Neenah Solar White.  I adhered them to the background and then stamped the sentiment, from the Cozy Christmas stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
