Hello and happy Thanksgiving!
The holidays are a busy and complicated time of year and I was thinking about how heroic we all are, doing our best to get through these days with grace and cheer even though at times we might feel the exact opposite of graceful and cheerful. So this card is for all you heroes out there who are juggling and struggling and skipping and limping your way through the holidays 🙂
I used white Hero Arts embossing powder to heat emboss the Center Cut Heart cling stamp from Simon Says Stamp onto an A2-sized piece of Canson XL watercolor paper. Then I used a flat brush to wet the panel with clean clear water. Using an 8 round brush, I loosely dropped in Prussian Blue Mission Mijello Gold watercolor into the heart. I pushed it around with brush (seriously, absolutely nothing special here!) and then dropped in some Bright Clear Violet around the heart and to the edges of the card. I gently mixed the two colors where they met and added a bit more water to soften areas that were a bit too intense. When I felt done, I used a heat gun to speed drying along and then set the panel under a heavy book to flatten it out a bit.
I stamped the sentiment, from the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Words stamp set, in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto a strip of Neenah Solar white. I backed it with foam tape and then adhered it to my dry background. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks so much for coming by!
