Today, a day late, I’m sharing a card featuring red poppies for Veterans Day. These beautiful dies are from Elizabeth Craft Design and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.
I die cut the Lacy Poppies from Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock and then used R05, R08, and R59 to color the petals. I used W7 (it’s the darkest gray/black that I have) for the center of the open flower, and YG25 and YG17 for the stems. I also added some small dots to the center of the open flower using a black Sakura Glaze pen.
I adhered the die cuts to an A2-sized card base and then heat embossed the sentiment, from Simon Says Stamp’s Tiny Words stamp set, in white Hero Arts embossing powder onto black cardstock. I used foam tape to adhere the sentiment to the card front.
To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
