Hi there and happy Friday!
I was recently reminded of this beautiful floral stamp from Simon Says Stamp so I pulled it out for day 9 of The Daily Marker’s 30-day Coloring Challenge.
I stamped spray of flowers, from the Floral Bliss stamp set, twice in Copic-friendly Hero Arts Intense Black ink onto Neenah Solar White 80# Classic Crest cardstock. Then I pulled out Copics and colored my heart out.
For the red flowers, I used R83, R56, and R59. For the yellow flowers, i used Y21, Y26, and YR24. For the pussywillow-type buds, I used RV91, RV95, and RV99 with a touch of E35 for their stems. And finally, for the leaves, I used YG61, YG63, and G46. I used a Brother ScanNCut2 to cut them out and then I set them aside.
I prepped the background by splattering watered-down Burnt Umber gouache onto an A2-sized panel. The gouache is from an inexpensive Artist’s Loft set from Michael’s.
While the panel was drying, I used the You die on a piece of black 110# Recollections cardstock. Then I heat embossed a sentiment from the You Matter stamp set in white Hero Arts embossing powder onto a strip of the same black cardstock.
To assemble the card, I adhered the floral sprays flush to the background. Then I adhered the die cut and then I used foam tape to pop up the sentiment. To finish, I adhered the card front to an A2-sized card base.
Thank you so much for visiting!
