Happy Monday, I hope your week is getting off to a nice start 🙂
Today’s card uses a couple of older stamps from Simon Says Stamp. I really like this background which I got to play with in a friend’s craft room and I paired it with a versatile sentiment set that I’ve had in my stash for a while.
I started by heat embossing the Kaleidoscope background stamp using Wow Embossing Pad and Gilded Brutus Monroe embossing powder onto a panel of Canson XL Watercolor paper. I used painter’s tape to secure the panel to my work surface and then used a water brush and Peacock Blue Mission Mijello Gold watercolor to color the panel. I concentrated the color a bit in the circles in the pattern, and then went for a softer and slightly varied depth of color over the rest of the panel.
While the panel was drying, I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto Neenah Solar White. The two separate lines of the sentiment are both from the Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing stamp set. I trimmed the sentiment and then trimmed another piece of Neenah Solar White to frame it. I popped up the sentiment onto the frame and then adhered the frame to the watercolor panel. Finally, I adhered the panel to an A2-sized card base.
Thanks for swinging by!
